There are several Ozbozz scooters available For very young children have a look at the
My First Scooter by Ozbozz
This has four wheels so is very stable and is suitable for children aged 2 and up. It comes in bright cheerful colours such as pink and yellow or blue and green. One plus is that this scooter is height adjustable so will grow with your child. It is also foldable although this should be done by an adult. As with all scooters care should be taken that fingers don’t get trapped when it is being folded. The actual mechanism is quite simple if done properly. We found this scooter to be of average weight (3.6kg) but one potential drawback is that it is made of hard metal which hurts if you accidentally bash it against your shins. Another plus for this scooter is that the wheel configuration can be changed from 4 to 3 to 2 wheels as your child gets older. You steer this scooter by turning the handle bars and not by leaning as in some more expensive scooters. So overall this is a very good value scooter but not as lightweight and slightly clunkier that more expensive scooters. Current Price Of Ozbozz My First Scooter
Ozbozz Trail Twister Scooter
For the slightly older child aged 3 – 5 years old, Ozbozz have now joined the tilt and steer 3 wheel scooter market with their new Ozbozz Trail Twister Scooter. Prices vary starting at £12.99 but averaging at approximately £20 meaning this scooter is cheaper than the alternative Zoom Cruzer Scooter and much much cheaper than the top of the range Mini Micro Scooter. So are they good value for money. Well in our opinion, the answer is probably yes if the scooter is just going to be used occasionally for fun. This is a fixed height scooter with a height of 68cm. It is steered easily by leaning on the handlebars to move left or right. Some plus features include a rear brake, removable soft handle grips and a light weight durable plastic deck. The maximum rider weight is 20kg. This is not very high when compared to other makes of scooter and reflects the fact that this scooter probably won’t be able to handle heavy use.
The Ozbozz Cosmic Light Flashing Deck Scooter has three wheels with two at the back and one at the front. It is suitable for children aged 3 and up. It has a light up flashing deck and as with the Lightning Strike Scooter is can be folded and has three adjustable height settings. This scooter is very light weighing just under 1Kg due to its aluminium frame.
For older children aged 5 to about 8 or 9 (depending on size and height of the child), Ozbozz do a range of cheap, good value scooters with fun features.
The Ozbozz Lightening Strike Scooter is a two wheel scooter and comes in pink or blue, is very light (2.6kg), folds easily for storage and features a fun flashing deck which is battery powered. The height of this scooter can be adjusted to three different pre-set height. Suitable for age 5 +
The Ozbozz Nebulus TX Scooter is an extremely good value two wheel folding scooter. This scooter also has 3 different height settings and is suitable for children aged 5 and up.
These are all very reasonably priced scooters and are great for children just wanting a bit of fun. At the end of the day you get what you pay for and if you need something that is going to get heavy use it is probably worth paying extra for another brand. Also if your child is already 7 or 8 it might be worth getting them a bigger scooter that will last longer.
